Lowered Goal on Calendars!
over 1 year ago – Mon, Sep 12, 2022 at 05:45:29 PM

After all the excitement of reaching our first stretch goal this weekend, I decided to lower the AI art calendar stretch goal down to $4,000. That means if we hit $4,000, everyone at the $20 tier or higher will get a free 2023 wall calendar themed with apocalyptic art. We only have 8 days to do it, but I think we got this!

Also, if you're on the look-out for other apocalyptic Kickstarters, I have two excellent ones for you to consider:

Ichabod Jones volumes 1-4 (finale) + the complete series

Kickstarter Link

My friend Russell Nohelty has launched a Kickstarter for the fourth volume of his awesome horror-comedy dark fantasy epic, Ichabod Jones: Monster Hunter, the smash hit Wannabe Press title about a mental patient who escapes from an asylum and becomes a monster hunter during the Apocalypse. But he doesn’t know if he’s killing monsters, humans, or it’s all in his head the whole time. If you’re a fan of monsters, magic, mythology, and non-stop action, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it, too.

Lycan: Solomon's Odyssey Chapter Two

Kickstarter Link

Lycan: Solomon's Odyssey is an ongoing series for mature readers set in an alternate telling of our own universe, with an emphasis on mythology and folklore.

This 60-page second chapter of Lycan: Solomon's Odyssey continues the story of Solomon, the world's first werewolf. This story examines the potential PTSD of such a change in one's life, while also exploring regional folklore and the introduction of magic!

We hit the first stretch goal!
over 1 year ago – Sun, Sep 11, 2022 at 09:42:03 AM

The bookmark stretch goal has been reached! Today is my birthday and I have to say that this was a wonderful gift! Everyone who pledges to the $20 tier and above will now get 2 free bookmarks with their order. These bookmarks will each have their own AI-generated design and be printed double-sided on glossy stock.

Also, the limited back cover name tiers only have 7 slots left (3 left in the $35 tier and 4 left in the $80 hardcover tier).

Thanks everyone! Only 10 more days!

We're at the halfway point!
over 1 year ago – Mon, Sep 05, 2022 at 05:43:54 AM

Hey all! We're at the halfway point of this campaign and I wanted to again say how thankful and humbled I am by your support. This final stretch is the best time to get new eyes on the project, so be sure to keep spreading the word!

Looking toward the future, I'm already planning my next compilation and contacting authors. If you'd like to follow more of these types of projects (mostly post-apocalyptic), I just set up a Facebook author page this weekend: https://www.facebook.com/smschusterauthor.

And finally, if you're into podcasts, I talk a great deal about this project on the latest episode of the Through the Aftermath podcast #67 and the Double-Spaced podcast #5.

Thanks!

We've done it in 2 days!
over 1 year ago – Mon, Aug 29, 2022 at 10:40:57 AM

In just 50 short hours, the goal for this project has been met! While I'm beyond excited about this, I'm now looking forward to those stretch goals. They are (so far):

  • Ai Art Bookmark. Stop dog-earring those pages and use a bookmark, you savage!
  • Wall Calendar. People still use wall calendars? I do! Although it usually takes a few months before I realize I forgot to change it to the current month.
  • Audiobook. Audio! In your ears!
  • Enhanced Audiobook. The goal here is to get a different narrator for each story in the book. And no, it won't just be me doing 19 different voices.

So again, I want to thank you for getting involved with this collection. Please continue to spread the word. We have just over 27 days left!
